Patented
UltraLustre and Selective UltraLustre:
Unifoil Corporation is proud to introduce a newly developed
and patented product line called UltraLustre. UltraLustre
is an extension of the highly successful UniLustre
non-laminated metallized board and paper product.
UltraLustre expands Unifoil’s’ non-laminated
capabilities beyond metallized and holographically decorated
paperboard substrates to many types of plastics, including
both flexible and rigid. This process has many advantages
over current laminated structures, UltraLustre can be
applied selectively; this ‘selective’ metallizing
process is patented and is exclusive to Unifoil. Some
benefits are:
•Security - High Refraction Image (HRI), Hidden Image
(H/I) and Pin Strip Security are several items that can
be incorporated to insure security and authenticity.
UltraLustre can be applied selectively.
•Eye Catching Brilliance- no film layer to see through
and is a first generation embossing.
•Glueability- Selective UltraLustre adhesive to pull
fiber, bond strength.
•Source
Reduction- no film on package, Unifoil reuses the film.
•Gauge & Weight Efficiency- the absence of
film virtually eliminates the film weight, allows for
better
yields for your printers, also shipping cost should
be reduced.
•Excellent Dead Fold- metallized board scores, folds
and embosses better than film, without the tendency
to curl or metal particles to flake off. |
|
•Non-Laminated-
paperboard is balanced and eliminates the possibility
of delamination.
•Recyclable & Repulpable- vapor deposition of aluminum is practically
insignificant
(see attached chart).
•Reduction of Ink- Stripe metallization eliminates most of the white ink, which
is sometimes double bumped for coverage.
•Curl Free- Non-Laminated, balanced sheet. Unifoil’s process does
not utilize heat or re-moisturizing, which affects the original fiber structure
and relative
humidity of the paperboard material that causes imbalance (curl).
•Cost- Lower cost alternative to Hot-Stamping and some metallied applications,
increased printing speeds compared to foil or film laminates.
**Major
benefit: End
uses on Plastic. |
